I have no clue. It just uses the camera button ID found in QmKeys' API docs, that's why I assume it could work.

I only have a protoC4. It's a bit lighter than a standard N950 (the weight of 4 screws, apparently) and an easier to swap battery, because of said lightness (and yep, that's really just a standard N950 with the screws removed and a sticker added, for those incapable of detecting sarcasm).

yes it is. I know few people with some faulty LCD on N950 even out of box

The ProtoB2 has Carl Zeiss Tessar 2.8/28mm 12 MP.

The N950 camera is much better than N9.
The default system Camera application makes the N950's photos very very blurry :(

cameraplus-0.0.0-1-armel.deb application can't save pictures on the device. How can I fix it?

Anyone have the best camera application to take photos in 12 MP?

Rawcam does not work on regular N950's but as the camera module on the proto may be different, I beg you to try it. It may work.

Even if the viewfinder it shows nothing, it can still take pictures, so please take a picture with it and post it here. I am really curious (and might provide useful info for development)

Reasoning: The drivers have built in support for the N950, and recognize it as such, but the resulting pictures come with the colors wrong. Maybe the adaptation is for an earlier proto, and you will be able to take pictures fine with rawcam.

About if it's the best app, of course it is :)

It looks like the camera sensor and lenses are the same (protoB2 and final-devel). But yeah, the sensor could be mounted to the motherboard differently.
