Disable Display-dimming
Is it possible to disable Displaydimming?
|
Re: Disable Display-dimming
If you set it to the same time as the "Switch off display" setting, then it will go straight to off with no dim.

Re: Disable Display-dimming
I want it to be permanent on, because I want to use mclock as a normal clock

Re: Disable Display-dimming
With this you can select up to 24 hour, or 1440 minutes from the control panel display settings
DIMMER: gconftool-2 --type "list" --list-type "int" --set "/system/osso/dsm/display/possible_display_dim_timeouts" "[10,30,60,120,300,600,1200,1800,3600,86400]" BLANKER: gconftool-2 --type "list" --list-type "int" --set "/system/osso/dsm/display/possible_display_blank_timeouts" "[10,30,60,120,300,600,1200,1800,3600,86400]" |

Re: Disable Display-dimming
Ok, now how about power schemes? Can I have always on display when on AC power and dim/off display on battery?
Thanks! |
Re: Disable Display-dimming
You'll need to install acmonitor. Then just set your display timeouts to your liking on AC, then unplug and set them on battery. You can also set different brightness levels, and it will remember those too. I've been using it for several months over multiple firmware releases with no problems. :)
Edit: Didn't know BBCode was case sensitive. :P |
Re: Disable Display-dimming
Just installed acmonitor. This is great! :D Just what I've beem looking for. I came from a Windows Mobile pda, and thought the N800 needed something like this. Thanks for the info.
