Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
Check out the QtHyperUI application in maemo-devel right now. So awesome! It doesn't do much right now except show the time, date (and incorrect cell phone carrier :D) and a little movable icon window, which, when expanded, you can then press the phone icon and see that too.
VERY cool. Hope this is coming down the pipe as a standard. |
Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?

You can download the programmes in the app manager (using the application names in the link). |
Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
Cute, but doesn't do much besides popping the menu down once, than going back and forth between the phone and dying when trying to come back to the first screen ... but super smooth though :-)

Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
I like how smooth the performance is - graphics are a bit basic/simple though. Looks like they are trying to go for an HTCified phone - hope not.

Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
i cant install it through app manager, missing lib of qt4-maemo5 (core and ui and so on)i
|
Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
I have the same problem - won't install from app manager due to conflicting packages. Shame, as it piqued my interest somewhat earlier.

Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
ok in the terminal it works; any idea why it cant be don through app manager? is it that verification?

Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
There's a fast scrolling contact manager too complete with letters.
The weather app is actually working - you can add cities and it shows the right temperature with cute cardboard-like clouds and moon/sun :) |
Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
youtube it for those of us that hesitate to try new things till we know they are stable :D
|
Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
Doesn't seem to work for me. It thinks there's no Interweb access, and asks me if I want to play with the demo.

Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
What a great interface! Love the 45 degree menu on HyperUI, especially the button graphics.
And the weather icons are really nice. It would be good if it rotated: I'm getting into the landscape interface of the n900 ... |
Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
Looks very nice, I want it! But I will have to delete it for now, since I only have so much memory...

Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
Just installed it, looks nice. Weather app is really different (in a good way). Automatic rotation and another app for Ovi store ;)

Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
Hey how do i install this? it says conflicting package ? help please?
|
Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
So can something like this be a replacement "shell" or "gui" for the whole N900?
or is this only possible for Maemo 6? |

Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
Looks cool. Obviously not done. Looking forward to it when it's done. I am going to uninstall it now...it's pointless until the real app is available. Oh and make sure the Weather app give u the option to change to Farenheit.

press and hold the city name
|
Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
yes, long-pressing the city name will bring up the city name addition/deletion menu.
Once you add a new city or delete an older city, it works fine, but agains after closing the app and restarting the changes are lost. It reverts back to the original list of cities. Also the settings menu is not there to change from Centrigrade to Farenheit. So this is obviously not completed - as they said its a demo. But a very nice demo indeed. Loved the weather icons falling down on strings concept. |
Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
Any update on HyperUI ?
Is it possible for anyone to create something like this i.e a fully working version for the n900... Been waiting ages for any form of update on this..... Don't you think its a rad app? anyone.....? |
Re: Wanna glimpse of whats to come possibly?
