TV-Out signal go off
Hi,
when I connect the N900 with an external display, the TV-out signal go off when the screen of the N900 go off. But I want that the signal is still alive when the screen go off. Because I want to play music form the N900 over my radio in my car. It have a 8" display and I don't want to drive with a black screen. Is it a bug or is it normal? And how can I fix it? MfG DonPIZI ps.: Sorry for my bad english, its not my native language. But I hope you understand me. |
Re: TV-Out signal go off
You can force display to not go off with the simple-brightness-applet package.
Apart from that MediaBox is a media player that supports keeping the display lit while playing. The screen goes off in TV-out because some sort of screen-saver kicks in and blackens the screen, which is also visible on TV-out then. The screen is transflexive and if the screen saver wouldn't blacken the screen you'd still see everything under good light conditions. |
Re: TV-Out signal go off
Thanks!
I'll try it with the brightness applet, because the MediaBox works very slow and the native mediaplayer works faster. |
Re: TV-Out signal go off
Unless my mind is completely fooling me, I distinctly remember that the TV signal did _not_ turn off when the N900 screen did. I tested TV out some days ago.
