Javascript Speed Test

Chippy Paine of UMPC Portal is trying to get an idea of power to weight ratios by compiling results of a Javascript benchmark at:

http://friendfeed.com/chippy/e3f1baa...io-what-yours#

Since I don't have an N900 and the N800 is already posted, how about someone with an N900 running the test (which is online) and posting the results. We should be able to pwn the 3GS.

Re: Javascript Speed Test

v3: 14.9
v5: 16.9
with microb asking me if i want to stop the running process.

it's quite annoying... especially when i see the stats for the iphone 3gs.. and when i think about that the n900 is using javascript for viewing all messages :/

Re: Javascript Speed Test

I'm sorry but this just makes me laugh. Microb seems to be dead slow on javas :D So itīs not so weird that gmails default webmail interface is so jerky.

.edit
Maybe we should put up Brainstrom about this and make different suggestions about what to do. And be really careful that no-one upsets by our whining :)

Re: Javascript Speed Test

Seriously, this is nosense. You are trying to make a comparison between two javascript engines one of which has been optimized to run those tests and the other one who doesn't. Mozillas and Webkits implementation of Javascript are pretty close performance wise.

Re: Javascript Speed Test

tested tear for fun and not so suprisingly it loads javas pages faster. Sad that panning is slow and makes it unusable.

.edit
actually it seems to load all pages faster for me.
