Specifiying the size of X Terminal
Hi!
Quick question: how do I configure X Terminal to have a particular number of lines and columns? I'd like to run a game that requires the terminal to have dimensions of 80x25. Thanks! |
Re: Specifiying the size of X Terminal
Does changing the font size satisfy your program requirements?

Re: Specifiying the size of X Terminal
Thanks! I tried it, but changing the font size doesn't seem to work. It DOES change the dimensions of the terminal, but it's not enough...
I get a message that says: Your terminal size appears to be 131x27 characters. A 80x25 -sized terminal is REQUIRED for playing ADOM on this server. Please correct your terminal settings and try again. You may want to consult the readme, available at the main menu, and at http://ancardia.ath.cx/adom_server_info.txtAny ideas? |
Re: Specifiying the size of X Terminal
I tried by jumping into debian and running this command which worked.
lxterminal --geometry=80x25 I haven't tried to do this natively, but maybe it will work. |
Re: Specifiying the size of X Terminal
Ok, i tried your server and logged into it using spectator. Looks like it works. :)
*I used debian btw. |
