How to get stand alone Skype (not integrated)?
Hi!
Cool with integrated Skype, but I would prefere to have a stand alone Skype like in N800: http://scisim.com/wp-content/uploads...n800-skype.jpg I feel (and that's me) that it easier to just start Skype when I need it, directly see who is online, chat for a while. And then close Skype when I don't want to Skype anymore. So its a separate application, and do not mix my Skype contacts with my e-mail contacts (not same ones). I have looked around a little, but can't find a stand alone Skype for N900. Am I using the build in Skype wrong, as I dont get the same feeling like on PC (and Windows Mobile)? Is there a way to get a stand alone Skype for N900? |

Open contacts. Open top menu. Choose groups and then Skype. Is that close enough?

It makes a handy excuse not to be able to lend your phone to someone "just to log in and check their skype, maybe make a quick couple of calls"

Personally I love the way this is done, may take a little bit to get used to though. Once you've merged all your contacts, you can then sign in or out of Skype by tapping on the top bar by the clock (not sure what the definition for this menu is), then tapping on IM Accounts (or whatever it's called), and you have the option to sign in or out of all, or disable/enable them individually. |
