"Dexigned in Finland" on N900?

I purchased an N900 from eBay after my old one died. The replacement has some distinctive qualities about it.

For example, the text "Dexigned in Finland" on the back of the screen instead of the normal "Designed in Finland." The glass covering the area around front facing camera is also more clear. The device ran Maemo 5 out of the box, and included a battery with the Nokia hologram, as well as other apparently original accessories. The IMEI that appears in "about device" looks like a valid Nokia IMEI. The label under the battery indicates that the phone was made in Finland.

The boxes are very similar too, but have some differences. For example, the absence of an inner flap on one, and the placement and layout of the white label with the IMEI on it. Is this a knock-off, or could it just be an early revision of the N900?

It's just a fake cover on a real N900 I guess

FAKE.


1. Spelling mistake.
2. Box is made of white cardboard and is missing flap
3. Sticker on the bottom under battery cover with "S"
4. Screen material
5...


Ive had 2 N900's, both had different but very similar boxes. Neither had white inside. Also box is made differently any way.

it sure is a rare piece. the vast majority are designed in Finland but made in Korea
