It is NOT open source. Even if it runs on some type of *nix, it is not open source. They patch up any holes that lead to the device's freedom.

It would only be appropriate to have different versions then: a model with 3G/WiMax and a model without those wireless options. If you decide to have 3G later on the base config, you can use a 3G...

I find the Pandora to be very ugly... I know it's designed with the gamer in mind (probably ONLY for the gamer) as it has many emulators being worked on, but the layout of it is just plain ugly....
