I had this problem starting last week on all my debian systems which were using imap. Since maemo is built off of Debian, I assume this is a debian problem.

Is there a quick fix for the N810?

Thanks, that worked. I just had to install the "rootsh" package from the extras repository and then run sudo gainroot.

I also had previously moved all the pdf's to my external card.

Cleaning up after updates?

Every time I update, I lose space on the internal memory. I assume that the old versions aren't being removed? Is there a way to clean up old versions after the update? Like apt-get autoclean, or...

I bought a unit from Amazon on 12-15-08 and it was affected by this issue. Quick fix though.

I have that repository enabled, however I still can't find flite.

The only programs I can see that might be similar is "espeak". Is there a way to confirm that flite is in the repository...
