If you're tech illiterate, don't get an N900. It is not the phone, but your inability to fully utilize it that will disappoint you.

What does suck about the N900 is the battery life.

Haha, oh, so that's the point of it. I can't believe I hadn't tried tapping it before. Not so bad.

Wish there were some hardware controls for the media player on this thing. I miss that in my n96.

The router is a Linksys BEFW11S4. It doesn't connect at all when power saving mode is fully on. The wifi icon just blinks, then goes away eventually. Distance isn't a problem -- if I stand right next...

Yeah, T-Mobile 3G connection works fine.

Power is set to 100mW. It only seems to work with either "On (Intermediate)" or "On (Maximum)" for the Power saving setting.

I've never installed any VPN software, /etc/udhcpc/libicd_network_ipv4.script.dpkg-dist does not exist and the contents of /etc/udhcpc/libicd_network_ipv4.script are this:

run-parts -a "$1"...

mv /etc/udhcpc/libicd_network_ipv4.script.dpkg-dist /etc/udhcpc/libicd_network_ipv4.script

no such file or directory...

I also only see libicd_network_ipv4.script in the udhcpc directory.

Why would I want to use the browser in portrait mode? The only thing portrait mode would be useful for is...

wtf. I just did this update and now my n900 refuses to stay connected to any wifi access point.

Anyone else experiencing this?

And still no fix for modest randomly capitalizing the "INBOX"...

Hmm, I think the speakers on the n900 sound really good, personally. I had an n96 before the n900 and thought they were pretty similar in quality and volume (both very good). I made my own ringtones...
