I just built dosbox-0.74 for harmattan using patched libsdl which is in public repo. Everything works fine and took a little test ride on SkyRoads (on N950 with hw keyboard).
I think the next step...

Usualy Ctrl + backspace goes to taskswitcher. But I don't know if Mobile Maps has it overrided.

To build qt app for Maemo 5, you have 4 ways to do it:

1st: Install scratchbox, Maemo SDK and in SDK install libqt4-dev. Copy your project to somewhere you can see it in scratchbox and build it...

problem: QListWidget *foldersList = new QListWidget();
you define new QListWidget pointer in browseFolders() and it cant be seen outside
correct: foldersList = new QListWidget();

Warranty probably wont cover your lens cover as it can be caused by harsh use. You should just find new back cover and pay little for it. There was some website somewhere where they sell all n900...

Not sure but i think Q_WS_MAEMO_5 came in 4.6 and 4.5 has Q_WS_HILDON.
Still cant see reason why QMessageBox::question() would crash it. Does it crash in windows too? Maybe you could try debugging...

Must be that 4.5.3 Qt as with 4.6.2 it works fine. Also could be your waitDialog or connector.

Do your changes to /etc/bash.bashrc
and add
source /etc/bash.bashrc
to /etc/profile.

If you want to use bash with "sudo gainroot" modify /usr/sbin/gainroot script
