Looks like the lib6c version on the tablet isn't high enough for the program you want to use. You might want to try an older version of what you're wanting, as it probably has lower dependencies.

The problem was with a contact in my micro to mini sd adapter. None of the stores in my area had a true minisd, so I bought one...

I emailed wayfinder support about not being able to use degrees, minutes, and seconds with a decimal. ( like those found on www.geocaching.com )...

kept playing around, and am able to start the gpsd server using the navicore helper, without having to launch wayfinder
in xterm ( no root needed ) type:
/usr/libexec/navicore-gpsd-helper

Doesn't look like it is. I'm new to linux, so I tried it from seeing it on some articles for getting a gps to work with a wifi app.
I was thinking the server wasn't running, since ps |grep gps...
