Is there anyone out there that can help with running desmume on the n800. I have it installed, roms load but are verrrrry slow and I can't play them. The start up screen takes about 5 min. to load....

I installed desmume and loaded some roms. The roms will load but I can't start or play the games. Can anyone help with this problem

make sure the rom ends in .smc. try a simple rom and make sure to delete all spaces, parenthesis, etc. For example; Al Unser Jr's pro racing (U).smc would look like this after file...

I had the same problems you had with a reflash and then attempt to reinstall smplayer. It was the only way I could get it on the tablet...on the good side you get many other apps with debian.

install easy debian then use debian chroot apt-get update....apt-get install smplayer.

There was a link for a snex9x deb on planet maemo some time ago. recently I reflashed my os and the file was corrupt. I followed the instruction on how to run snes on the n8xx and everything went...
