True only for part of people. Others like me just wonder about this deal that is quite bad and risky for Nokia.

I think it might be a normal thing if Nokia would offer WP7 phones as alternative...

Well ... there were a number of Maemo devices (N770 ... N900) sold by Nokia - over the years, but without love and without being comitted to that OS.

And I remember, Nokia will deliver a Meego...

Elop is right that there is now one horse less in race (Nokia).
However, I could 4-5 remaining horses, all more market share than WM7:

- Android (Linux-based)
- Apple iOS
- RIM
- WebOS...

Sure N900 can get viruses.
However, there are no scanners , at least from what I know.

Although porting a linux / PC scanner would be easy we would need signatures specific for ARM / Maemo.
