Fair enough but in my country this is not illegal and the N900 as we know abides very much below the maximum transmit power level.

Hmmmm, Yes I have sometimes noticed it does switch itself back on but that is still a bit crappy simply because as soon as it goes off the radio plays static.

For the record my bluetooth headset is a motorolla HS850. No matter what settings I have in PSS it always switches to the speakers when I have my headset active.

Aaah then if you are using SMTP that explains it - a lot of service providers these days are blocking port 25 outside of their network - mine does this so I need to use SSL to connect to outside SMTP...
