OK its happened again!
only this time "dpkg --clear-avail" does not fix the problem.
here is what happens when i try and run. "apt-get update"


~ $ sudo gainroot

the problem seems to be that when someone rings it the screen will light up and unlock but it takes so long for the phone app to load by the time it does it only actually rings for a few seconds....

Thanks for that but it didn't work. even though i disabled all the repos and enabled them again after relaunching appman.

My N900 keeps switching to the MMS connection (which it cannot access the internet through) instead of my networks GPRS access point and i basically want to get rid of it.

I love google chrome on my desktop but its just too fiddly on the n900 having to use the tiny scroll bars.

i would love to see an actual mobile version of chrome instead of a ported version.

welli have only had it in for about 2 hours i have to say and it hasnt gone down yet. so i will have to wait and see. it could still be above 80% which would mean there was no change in the battery...

Due to the poor battery life of the n900 i decided to buy 2 spare (non nokia) batteries and and external charger from ebay.
the batteries work fine and being able to charge them outside of the phone...

Is it really? I have been lied to before many times on this thread. Nokia Repos are down (on my phone anyway) so i cant confirm this yet so maybe it is true.
