if you are after ready-made simple-to-use graphically-appealling apps, well, you have definitely bought the wrong unit I afraid. iphone or android could be your better choice.

I guess it shouldn't be a problem to use command prompt in Win7. Run the flasher program and plug-in n900. If its recognised then the flashing will proceed or otherwise it will wait till n900 is...

Well, folks, for 1 I don't use M$ for any of my serious work so I have no comment if you wanna flash from M$ platform.
The key is to charge your N900 for at least a few hours regardless it shows...

I had the same issue with my N900 not able to switch on. It happened after I uninstalled "Enhanced Linux kernel for power users" package not reading properly its uninstallation warning/instructions...

i'd suggest nokia to provide option to upgrade n900 to the 8GB OneNAND for those real linux users. Or start selling a 8GB OneNAND model, and i'll glad to trade in for that model.
