I use http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest although you can fiddle around with your device to make it think it has higher versions of flash, but I don't know the process.

Oh yeah, nothing quite kills battery like streaming internet radio over 3G and back out via the FM transmitter! Eeep! Since the alarm "wakes" the phone up even when it's off, I just power my phone...

The simplest answer I can give, correct me if I'm wrong, is that the chips in the device itself would not be compatible. I.e. why you can connect to an 802.11g network when you only have a b card....

It's been said that it will be about 12 months just for the main deal to go through. It's a huge transaction. I personally think that it's dumb for ATT to make everyone w/ a 3G phone not compatible...
