The PSTN to VOIP service is usually a local number or a nationwide lo rate number , but I guess the sponsors make a small...

You certainly don't need everyone to be using the same SIP provider , just make sure the providers you do use support peering.
SIPPhone / Gizmo5 do support peering whereas SIPgate.de/.co.uk don't....

you might need to specify the path to the .mp3 file as the command will be running as root and not as user.
I don't think the crontab files are stored in /etc , I think they're in /var somewhere...

I'd like to use cron to automatically mute the volume of my OS2008 N800 every night and unmute it again in the morning , is this possible ?

Why not signup with voxalot.com (http://voxalot.com/) , this is purely a VOIP account , but can easily be used with the sipbroker pstn Numbers (http://www.sipbroker.com/sipbroker/action/pstnNumbers)....

I've got a N800 running OS2008 and a Motorola H500 bluetooth headset , eventually got them paired and working together fine (after a firmware reflash).
The trouble is the sound quality isn't so...

I had a similar problem with using sofia and gizmoproject SIP service.
To fix it I forced the Transport (Accounts / Edit / Advanced) to use just UDP instead of Auto.
Hope that helps.

I am having the same problem , retrieves headers and gets stuck on the message body.
Seems to work OK using POP mail but not as useful.
IMAP works fine in Thunderbird under Linux on my Desktop....
