Follow dan67sf's instructions to cd to the directory in terminal. When you get to the steps that start with "./flasher-3.0" add "sudo" and one space before it like this:
"sudo ./flasher-3.0...

I'm downloading USA West right now, about 10% done after about 10 minutes of downloading. I wish it would tell me the speed I'm downloading at. I'll let you know if Kansas or Missouri is in the USA...

I'm a happy IT user once again. I got my 2 8GB SDHC cards a couple weeks ago, and now I have OS2008 to go along with them. I think OS2008 looks great, and feels snappier than the previous firmware....

I'm using a WRT54G v2.2 with 3rd party firmware (Tomato 1.07) and have had no issues with connecting my N800 to it wirelessly. I use WPA and DHCP, but not in Ad-Hoc mode.
