Should you decide to go the way of having the set repaired in the States, the following might be helpful:
I did exactly that, and - as you know - needed a US address.

They charged me $ 5.00 for their service, and of course I had to drive to Lewiston (Niagara Falls) NY to pick up the unit.
But, the repairs were free (under warranty).
