This doesn't mean devices shouldn't be supported for more than 2 years, as ensuring it is current for more than 2 years would ensure better resale value, which would provide better motivation for people to buy (if there ever are) newer versions.

This is something Apple has done, but Nokia seems to not have realised yet.
