Do you have the SSH client installed on your N900?
Do you know your IP address of your N900?

If yes to both questions, then why not use WinSCP to connect to your N900 via WIFI. You can then browse to the folder where your contacts live, or if you feel comfortable working in command line, open up PUTTY to your N900 and use command line.
