I seem to recall myself ranting about that back when the N900 was JUST ABOUT to be released and crying out FOUL for closing the phone stack... then everybody kept jumping on me saying, "IT'LL BE OPEN-SOURCE! It'S OFONO!" or some such bull. What happened to that? I thought the phone stack WAS supposed to be all pure and white and delightfully open.

Didn't the forum start out as InternetTabletTalk? I seem to recall it being pretty good even with competitor talk. Why are you afraid of "drowning" in tablet talk? I'm not sure that this is progress, honestly.

Companies just don't engage into raw (and public) dialogues with as vague an entity as 'the community'. That's why we elect council members to represent us.

If you desire 'answers', I think it's time to pay attention to our own council members and open up dialogue with them (or go to where they have their discussions; irc, mailing list, etc).
Fair enough, you make a... waaaaitaminit... where are we? What's this thread again??

There is not only Intel that will make a handset/tablet but many China production companies will give a good price on a protortype too.

Joint venture between Maemo and MeeGo maybe?.

Some brilliant dev's on this site and i think it really is the way to go.
*patpat* I know, I know. Let it go, man. Let Maemo die so that MeeGo can live on. Just... let it go.

A broken watch is correct twice every day--hell, sometimes even *I* get thanked for posts. Hell if I know why sometimes.

Don't let our child (Maemo) suffer during divorce. Nokia isn't interesting @ taking care, so We're single father/mother now
Sadly, amen to that. Nokia arseholes.
