The best solution I have found for me is to follow a twitter feed which tweets the BBC traffic updates as they come in - in my part of the world it's TyneTravel. I woul suggest searching for it, and then seeing what Twitter highlights as similar. I recall that in certain areas the BBC themselves tweet traffic updates, but not here.

I use TwimGo as my twitter client, and it works well for me, when plugged into a car charger and set to 1 or 5 minute updates. Seems to be about the most responsive to incidents as well.
Hmmm twitter you say? I don't do twitter or facebook or owt like that so i assume i would need an account n that kinda thing? I tried an rss feed from a local website but its not ideal? I need to see a map with the affected areas highlighted if ya know what i mean? The rac makes an app for android and it works well coz i used it on my old phone, shame there doesn't seem to be anything like that for maemo A website would do but again, it doesn't load pages with maps very well and can take too long unless there's a mobile version of any of these sites?? Might try twitter but need to know more about it first?
