Interesting observation. Amongst the myriad toys that i have is a SGS2. no problems running 10-12 apps, including videos, youtube, music and multiple web instances wihtout any slow down. My understanding of Android is that it's much more efficient at managing load , "suspending" applications in the background to ram, thus freeing up CPU for current tasks. now i'm not saying it's anywhere near as good as my N900 (have had 25+ applications running in "real" multitasking format no problems), but who really does that anyway? Certainly Android is not the same as windows mobile or even symbian (anyone remember UIQ?) when it comes to managing running apps in the background.
