Although AFAIK there's no such thing as being sim-locked here, as if/where it occurs, you can have it removed by going to carrier's website etc.
In europe the carriers are obliged to remove the sim-lock, but only after 1 year.
The n9 is fully sim-lock capable, and MIGHT NOT BE FLASHABLE if sim-locked (see Aegis stuff. read "might", meaning we don't know yet and it can change both ways). Buy with caution
