Hi Nobukama, If you search for Canola in all posts you will find one above your post labeled ATTENTION: How to fix Maemo Extras Repository. This will give you good advice on fixing the download problems (If Maemo.org have not sorted by now). I found the advice by TECHNUT in this post to be the best (- thanks TECHNUT) which even provides a click now to get you going. I found that you had to disable all other maemo catologues in the Application Manager but then it worked fine)
More importantly - I have N800 running OS2008 plus Canola2 and Skype. The earlier Skype problem seems to be solved. The only real drawback with Canola2 is the lack of support for album art at present. It is coming. and it is only a Beta.
Hope this helps - do read the thread I mentioned thoroughly it has posts by members who understand all of this much better than I.
To check the current OS you have installed click settings, control panel, then about product. This will tell you what your running.
