I don't think they will catch up before the life of the N810, and N800 for that matter, is over. This is one reason why the N800 is actually better. Even if Micro/Mini SD manages to catch up to full sized SD, you will be paying double for the smaller form factor, in addition to the double you already paid for the N810.

I wanted to get a N810 for the keyboard, but I figured it wasn't worth it. I don't need the GPS, don't care about the 2GB internal memory, and have heard mixed reviews about the transflective screen/ambient light sensor.

I like using my N800 to play movies and music, and like carrying a large collection around with me. Add in the ability to download torrents with Transmission and you can download extra content on the fly, making the N800 the best PMP in my book.

I really do want a keyboard though. I wish I could just buy a N800 with a keyboard. That would be the best of both worlds.
