From todays newspaper (translated by me):

Regular afternoon at Microsoft campus in Salo is quiet. Almost ten hectares of parking space contain only handful of cars after Microsoft spun down the operations there.

Behind the fenced zone resides a red plated hall "Nakola" that once was Nokia's production line for experimental mobile phones. US based Turing Robotic Industries acquired the production line this spring and announced that they have begun assembling crowdfunded mobile phones.

Turing and it's CEO Steve Chao have kept low profile and have given only few interviews. All the secrecy has also raised doubts about the operations.

However, gleaming lights tell that Turing does have activity on site. In their Facebook-pages company promises to deliver first luxury smartphones to customers in May.

"For people in doubt I'd say that patience is a virtue, also in this case", says Antti Rantakokko, mayor of the city of Salo. Mayor has lately ended up commenting the manufacturing as company representatives have been unavailable for comment. Rantakokko has connection to Chao, who he describes as "active communicator" towards the city officials.
