This is as I expected, but assuming anything...

Although there is no concrete consistent process w/o a bit of manual work, you may want to check out this thread: http://internettablettalk.com/forums...ad.php?t=14909 and see what others are doing along the same lines.

I myself can see my Windoze shares from the File Manager on my N800 w/latest 2008 build, something I did not see on my 2007HE-based N770. I cannot access the shares at this time, but I'll poke around some in the next couple of days and see what I come up with. If your Lacie interface allows for folder sharing, then it could behave similarly and in truth, I'd expect your chances for success are greater as it likely uses a form of Linux at its core.

You may want to see if there is an fto (file transfer protocol) option for your drive or even ssh (secure shell) access as discussed the the thread linked above.

Typically the differing file systems are the hurdle to overcome, hence SAMBA was created to give interoperability between Linux and Windows system for the sake of file and print service access.
