Good news and bad news folks...
Good News: A new version of gphoto2 was announced yesterday (2.4.1) with more cameras and bug-fixes. Yay!
Bad News: I went through the effort of (again) cross-compiling this on scratchbox for OS2008, and created a debian file out of it (last time I just created tar files). Also, this time I *combined* libgphoto2 and gphoto2 into a single install (it makes sense in this case). However, it seems to be just as flakey for me as it was in the past. Boo!
Anyone else want to take the risk of installing this and reporting back success/failure? This package -- with all the camera modules -- is very large (5.5mb!). Theoretically, one would *remove* all the modules they do not need.
