Brick means you might as well slap some mortar on it and put it in the wall, its is a paperweight... If its under warranty it can be sent to nokia. I have never seen a bricked internet tablet. There is always a way to recover, unless its a hardware problem.
Number one problem I have seen with n800, use the original USB cable when flashing, not just whatever cable is closest
