The version of the phone I have is for the italian market (european version I guess). Here operators will make the user pay when he wants to listen to the messages recorded on his voice mail. This is not phone related but depends on the operator. I have always disabled call forwarding to the voice mail (or used a third party answering machine software on symbian Nokia phones)
