n95 was good for camera and also was quite ahead of the competition (at the time). Couldn't stand not having keyboard so went with the e71.

Camera on e71 sucked, but made up for it by 'awesome' keyboard and unbeatable battery life and SLIM.

n900 has an awesome browser, camera comparable or better than n95 but.....
- to use it as a daily phone is unweildly. It thick and heavy
- taking it out of pocket to answer a call can easily accidently hit the reject button instead
- keyboard is just barely acceptable. Not even close to e71 keyboard
-still evaluating battery.. not sure what to think right now. Will more tests over the week
- lack of apps is ok for now. Worse case I can write whatever apps I really need myself.

Personally the like-dislike for me is going to depend on results of my battery tests.. especially being spoilt with the e71

Lol I also had the n95 for a year and the e71 for a year. the E71 camera really did fail.

I think your opinion on the N900 really depends on what you use it for. I realized that this past year I was browsing heavily over Edge and the e71 browsers (built in, skyfire, opera) weren't cutting it for me. I am pretty happy with the "full" browsing experience I get from the N900.

Of course the tradeoff was that the battery on the N900 is not as good as the e71 though I did not have much luck on my N95 in terms of battery life, I found it quite poor.

As for the N900 camera, it is not as good as the N95 at the moment but I have no doubt that it will improve with firmware updates. As I keep reminding people they did say this is a work in progress, it will get better with time.

I find the speakers on the N900 comparable to the N95.

If you really need something more polished there are many other phones on the market, bottom line the consumer wins!
