The N900 supports javascript to practically the same level as desktop firefox. What it doesn't support is java. Java and javascript are completely different things, despite the names. I assume that's where the confusion about javascript not being supported comes from. As for your actual problem, I don't have access to openzone myself, though I can use wifi at work with a system where a browser window opens to log in, and remains open to keep the connection alive.
