So far, this whole thing feels to me like a decision made by commercial interests who are pretending that it was made by the people. It's a bunch of hype, in other words. I have nothing against Fedora or rpm, it's just not a way I chose to go. I have in the past been interested in Moblin. Like what I have consistently referred as the takeover of ITT, this is a change that is essentially being forced on the users, meanwhile pretending that it is somehow a popular groundswell. There was definitely NOT a movement to use rpms. People had no objection to debs.
