It's a big source, and the kind of thing that people would be expected to 'review' prior to purchase. The errors there though can't really be blamed on Nokia as they were based on pre-release speculation.
I do think the OP breaks new ground on the 'problems with then N900' digs, as he's tackling the issue of performance. It's a good indicator on the immature nature of the platform to see that very little optimisation has taken place.
I'm also in agreement with the new thoughts for the response to 'it's not a phone it's a computer'; that is to say "if it's a computer then why are the computer type apps (calendar, email, media player, photos, application manager, etc) so bad?"

Nokia are a business and have chosen a path of using the OSS community phenomenon to reduce their overheads specifically after sales support and development. Unlike Apple who do the opposite and make a killing from their Applications store.
