Every person voting an app up should have installed it, given it a good testing (this may take a couple of days in some cases) and, if possible, checked the optification/licence status and so on. reading the testing page on the wiki is a must.

I don't mean to critisise here, torpedo48 is doing a (mostly) thankless job very well. I just want to make sure we don't get carried away with numbers and let standards slip.

I've tried to make clear the fact that you have to personally test the app, and of course this include installing it and using it for a few days, but maybe I've focused on that not enough. Tomorrow I'll insert a note.

I've started this thread because I was worried about the queue getting longer every day: many apps were perfectly ready and stucked in the queue because there were not enough testers, so I decided to make a list for newcomers with suggestions; of course this doesn't mean that I want a short Extras-Testing queue and Extras full of junk
