And I know about black plastic and think it's great. It might do this. Do you think it will be able to also linc other custom rc-files via "include" in the gtkrc-file? Well if your project actually will allow users to easily customize any part of the theme and quickly will let them check it out - then this will solve my problem!

But there is still one thing with debs. And that is that you need to trust the source in a whole other way. If you've got at tarball with themes you can without to much doubts install it without being concerned that it will also install suspicious binaries too.
