I'm going to try and ignore the thread I'm in and just look specifically at this post.. I'm always available to help people regarding linux.

??? There an unimaginable amount of ways you can do this...

Probably one of the easier ways is to use a firefox addon such as Video DownloadHelper to download the video to your hard drive.. then use one of a plethora of free video conversion software to port it to whatever format you want.

Graphical:

WinFF
HyperVC
VLC

Command Line:
ffmpeg
mencoder

are there any good games for ubuntu?
Native or Emulated?? A lot will even work without any Additional Cost

is there any way i can get my built in fingerprint reader to work in ubuntu?
I have no idea which fingerprint reader you use or is on your system.. but Some do work.
