If you want to install Python or something else then go to this site:

Search for the package you want, then add the details as instructed. Then you can install through the application manager list instead of downloading and installing (downloading single packages will just send you into dependency hell most of the time).
If you access that URL above from the N800 then there's even a one-click install for getting the repository in question into the N800.
