With all the talk about trying to find source code for the Samsung specific bits, I couldn't tell whether or not you were already looking through this site:

On my Verizon version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab, the OS identifies the model as the SCH-I800 (USA). You can find our your model number by starting at the desktop, tap the MENU button below the screen, tap SETTINGS, scroll down and tap ABOUT DEVICE and look at MODEL NUMBER.
