Saw a new posting from the Droid Fans group on Facebook:

Well team Cyanogen successfully merged the new Android 2.3.3 code into Cyanogenmod 7 yesterday while Samsung devices are still running 2.1 which does not support Adobe Flash. A small group of hackers and developers have done in their spare time working at home what is a full time paid job for some.
I can't wait to get CyanogenMod on my Tab. Grrrr... get outta Beta, already!

Also: Comparing all this to the Nokia and Community SSU just sort of shows how far behind and out-of-touch Nokia managed to make Maemo get when they had far more potential and far, FAR more time on their side to get the Maemo community to do something similar. I'm kinda pissed at the wasted opportunities for my N800. Oh well.

Nokia's slogan shouldn't be the pedo-palmgrabbing image with the slogan, "Connecting People"... It should be one hand open pleadingly with another hand giving the middle finger and the more apt slogan, "Potential Unrealized." --DR
