I did, back in 2001.. KDE version 1.x first, then version 2 (V2 was possibly worse RAM-wise than V3.x). Actually it was 64MB I think. Anyway, what I had to do was to replace the RAM and stuff in 384MB (max. for that machine), just to get out of swapping hell!

I know maybe a few people have helped him financially, but I'd be willing to bet that the time put into this by him far outweighs any cash he's getting out of it. I for one, am happy that KDE does anything for me. If you want it to go faster, put it in a speeding car or throw it out the window. But I also think it could be that onlyone may be onlyoneofthefew that is unhappy apparently with KDE being on their tablet. Options there: delete, move on.

BTW-Penguinbait, I remember a Lawyer who did a show here in Seattle. He would give people general legal advise. He would start every show with something like ' liablity for the legal advise given during this show is strickly limited to what you have paid for the show' Perhaps a reword could adapt that as a disclaimer for KDE on the NIT ?

Its funny you should point this out, somebody else was thinking I am making all kinds of money off this.

I have to date recieved $273.58 in donations. Well maybe a little more, thats the amount I got after paypal got thier cut. Over the past 2 years playing with CUPS, KDE and everything else. I dont know the exact amount either, but I am sure I put more than 273 hours in. So I am making less than a dollar an hour, for work put in, from the way I look at it.

Actually, from the way I really look at it, is this all done because I wanted to have an alternate option to Hildon. It has CUPS because I wanted to print. Selfish huh I never intended to even ask for donations, but the community kept harrassing me to put one up, so I finally did, about a month ago. I have been completely amazed at the support coming in from around the WORLD. And even you Neil

So I have used so far 73$ for donations to some others. I have spent about 90$ for the year for my web service at tablethacker.com, which was a complete waste of money. Never host your website at siteground.com (They SUCK, as you are all aware) (sorry about all the half of files )

So I appreciate all the support, I welcome all the help, and suggestions. If you want to donate? time spent helping in the forum's, or hacking things to be better, is more usefull than actual cash donations, but those are very appreciated also.

Its been a fun ride, and it aint over yet.
