The full extent of the iPhone's and the iPod Touch's copy and paste powers may only now be becoming clear.

On 25 November 2007, Josh "CompC" Birnholz posted to a thread on MacThemes a screenshot of his Jailbroken iPod Touch. Apple took that screenshot, turned it into a sketch, and included it in a patent application. That's some fancy cut and paste.

Does a screenshot have the same copyright protections as a photograph?
