great to hear.. the powerchimp looks cool. can you pop any charged NiMH battery in it for continious power? Can you use the 900 while having the powerchimp hooked up? Im flying for Germany to Alaska in June and wold love to have continious movies playing on it for the flight.

yes....i got the version that needs AA batteries instead of the non replaceable Li-ion.....i tried it with some 2700mA batteries and it charged half of the N900s battery...its not much but you can have lots of AAs with you...so with 4 batteries you can have a full charge.....also the powerchimp overheats like hell....scortching hot to the touch!

...or use my battery charger v.1.0 and you can get 3 charges out of it

Lol!
Why not do it in style. Wrap a bunch of spare batteries in a belt around your waste. Might as well paint a target on your tshirt while your at it.

Yes, you can hook it up to your PC to charge the batteries inside....It doesn`t come with an external charger I`m afraid, you have to use either your PC to charge the batteries (5v output) or buy an external 5v output charger or use your old Nokia charger (the big tip)

Things I`ve done with my N900 during my trip:

-Calls obviously, some where skype calls through the hotels wifi
-Took some wonderful pictures and videos
-Surf the web through wifi
-Connected the phone through SCART on the tv to watch some movies with subtitles!
-Send some emails
-Played some game emulators (on the plane specifically)...while I had the phone hooked on powerchimp....plenty of power left!
-Used Sygic to travel around the island (Las Palmas)

What can I say.....it is the first time I`m using a device that can do everything and not having to carry a bunch of gadgets with me....it is trully an all-in-one device.....thanks NOKIA!

i just received my PowerChip. One thing to note, it comes with like 10 adapters... but the Micro USB for the N900 is not part of the default set. It needs to be purchased separately here, https://powertraveller.com/iwantsome/spares/000227/.

I also purchased the AAA adapter cases found here, https://powertraveller.com/iwantsome/spares/000259/.
