Any news? I would also like to test android on N900, if that's feasible in the first place.

I was following this development with Maemo in mind.
It turned out that Dalvik VM and Android standard library is so tightly bound to the underlying modified kernel and OS layer (mainly completely custom IPC mechanics), that it would require either:
- heavy modifications of the Ubuntu kernel and OS
- heavy modification of Dalvik and library to replace missing parts

So, the project was put on the shelf.

Any update on an easy way to dual boot android like you can with mer?

I don't get all this kernel patching stuff, and i'm pretty linux savvy.
