ok guyes my bad 100 thnx for ur replies . i changed the wifi-channel number to 6 . and now everything back to normal. i still cant still figure out what happened after the restart of my n900 or after the extract of the sim.

Let's just clear up this misinformation right way before anyone starts broadcasting data without encryption. The N900 does support WEP, WPA and WPA2. Of course only WPA2 is recommended.

And you would still see the wfi broadcast and you could potentially even still connect to it, you just wouldnt get an IP address

Encryption doesnt hide the SSID or stop you from seeing any broadcasting SSID's

i ve got a philips one. So , i guess that the n900 cant see all channels. but i still wonder why i could see my wireless homenetwork, before the restart and extraction of the sim.( i didnt change anything on the router)
